The Thunderbolt interface and the Type-C interface are different. The Type-C interface is compact, supports a transfer speed of up to 10Gbps, can handle power transmission of up to 100W, and supports video transmission. Thunderbolt 3, developed by Intel, initially used the mini DP interface. With the promotion and popularization of Type-C, Thunderbolt 3 interfaces have also transitioned from mini DP to Type-C.
