Ever since TCL entered the Premium TV market years ago, the launch of the latest generation 6-Series has been one of the annual highlights in our industry.
From reviewers, to enthusiasts, to retailers, and users everywhere, the introduction of a new 6-Series means new benchmarks. And this year will be no different…
New gaming features…check.
New premium design…check.
New levels of performance…check.
Yep, it’s gonna be fun!
Powerful performance
The 6-Series has always stood for Powerful Performance. But it has also represented accessible performance.
Picture David and Goliath. Except in this case, David is America’s #2 TV brand who built over 32 million TVs last year. Our sets are often compared to Goliath’s much more expensive TVs with consistent results. The 6-Series is typically said to punch way above its weight class, and has earned scores of “Best of” accolades and “Editor’s Choice” awards through the years.
So, what have we done to stay on all those lists? Lots! Let’s take a look.
Picture improvements
For picture performance, we continue to build on the hallmarks of picture quality: Color, Clarity, and Contrast.
For Contrast, we are using our latest generation Mini-LED backlight. This is a technology that TCL pioneered, and that the TV industry quickly followed to embrace. Now it’s better than ever with our most advanced local dimming with Contrast Control ZonesTM technology featuring up to 360 zones.
For Color, we continue to lead the industry. Since launching the word’s fist big-screen Quantum Dot TV, we continue to build on what is considered the gold standard of color performance: QLED. This amazing color technology employs nanocrystals that are even working their way into other TV technologies to try to get their color performance as brilliant as ours!
For Clarity, 4K delivers crystal clear performance and makes lower resolution content look great thanks to TCL's AiPQ EngineTM technology. We are proud to introduce TCL’s first Roku TV that delivers ALL of all the top HDR formats, plus new Dolby Vision IQ, which uses the TV’s auto brightness sensor to adapt to any room’s ambient lighting—not the other way around. Plus, the auto brightness sensor dials in the picture brightness for all content, should you wish to use it.
Play like a pro
Of course, we haven’t forgotten the gamers! For you, our best TV for gaming keeps getting better.
Being the official TV of Call of Duty® means we have the obligation to give the most demanding gamers the best performance possible. That’s why we’ve added more to the Game Studio ProTM suite in the new 6-Series.
Cutting-edge gaming features include Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to keep the TV in sync with next-gen game consoles and high-end graphics cards. The newest 6-Series even gets VRR up to 144Hz for the most demanding gamers who, until now, were almost always relegated to a tiny gaming monitor to get this type of performance.
With 2 of the 4 total HDMI ports supporting the HDMI 2.1 standard, plus a separate eARC port, you get fantastic flexibility for all your devices.
The latest 6-Series also boasts AMD FreeSyncTM Premium Pro, so you’ll enjoy artifact-free performance at virtually any framerate, plus improved color accuracy and contrast for exceptional HDR gaming.
And it couldn’t be easier with Auto Game Mode. The TV does all the work and engages Game Mode to ensure that The Witcher video game looks and performs its best while playing, and then looks it’s best while watching The Witcher TV series.
Design that performs
Knowing that a TV needs to be an attractive centerpiece to any living room or home theater, we’ve added an easy premium center mount pedestal that includes two height options. This makes the TV look and function it’s best, whether you use with or without a sound bar.
The pedestal also has a cleverly integrated cable management system to help you conceal wires and ensure your TV looks it’s best, even when you’re not watching!
Built for streaming
Easy also describes the built-in Roku operating system, America's #1 TV streaming platform, giving you easy access to all your favorite entertainment.
Bigger and better doesn’t even begin to describe the newest 6-Series. With all this performance, it’s time to put the industry on notice…again.
