We enjoyed another thrilling stop on the Wendy’s Tailgate Tour this Saturday, as Oklahoma visited Ohio State in what promised to be an entertaining game featuring two top-five teams. ESPN's College GameDay was even present to capture all the action from Ohio Stadium first hand.
Leading up to the big game, tailgate revelers packed the TCL eSports Lounge to play games, relax, and even get autographs from a very special guest.
Ohio State legend and Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith stopped by to take pictures with fans, sign autographs and TCL Game Time T-shirts, and play video games with attendees. He even brought his Heisman, giving fans a chance to get an up-close look at the coveted trophy.
Fans were also given the chance to enter the exclusive on-site giveaway. By taking a picture from within the TCL eSports Lounge and sharing it on Twitter or Instagram, they were entered to win the award-winning 55” P-Series 4K HDR TV.
NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter, former wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings, also made an appearance at the TCL eSports Lounge. As an Ohio State alum, he was eager to get in on all the excitement leading up to the clash in Columbus.
We had an amazing turnout from Buckeyes and Sooners alike. And all fans were treated to an intense game! Behind a strong second half, Oklahoma upset Ohio State 31-16 to avenge last year’s loss to the Buckeyes at home.
