Senior Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance our product compliance program. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory adherence across all operational facets. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for consumer electronics and a proven track record in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Compliance Program Management:

• Develop and update compliance-related policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are clearly documented and communicated across the organization.
• Evaluate and improve internal processes and procedures related to compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Lead investigations into compliance breaches and develop corrective action plans.
• Implement process improvements and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
• Provide training and educational resources to internal departments on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Training and Development:

• Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
• Ensure continuous professional development in compliance for the compliance team.

Regulatory Liaison:

• Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, staying informed on compliance trends and updates.
• Participate in industry groups and committees to stay abreast of regulatory changes and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into all business processes.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.

Specific Compliance Areas:

• Oversee compliance activities related to e-waste, packaging, chemical substances, batteries, and retailer product compliance.
• Coordinate and submit required reports and registrations for regulatory compliance in these areas.
• Ensure all products meet relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to gather necessary data and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deadlines, requirements, and compliance documentation.
• Manage budgets related to compliance activities in these specific areas.

Qualification/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for consumer electronics and home appliances.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
