As a Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. Your expertise in supply chain planning and execution will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate long-term forecasts.
- Utilize advanced forecasting techniques to simulate demand patterns and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and adjust forecasts accordingly to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Track sell-out data to identify trends and adjust future forecasts.
Supply Chain Coordination and Optimization:
- Work closely with supply chain teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Collaborate with HQ and regional teams to align on material planning, capacity reservation, and inventory management.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
- Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and minimize their impact on the business.
New Product Introduction and End-of-Life Management:
- Oversee the launch of new products, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions to the supply chain.
- Manage the end-of-life (EOL) process for products, ensuring efficient inventory clearance and minimizing losses.
- Coordinate with HQ and regional teams to ensure a smooth transition for new product introductions and phase-outs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and finance teams to ensure alignment on product launches, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Work with global teams to coordinate supply chain activities and address regional challenges.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize supply chain performance.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and present findings to senior management.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to work and guide cross-functional teams.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexity.
- Adept at building data visuals to communicate clear and concise messaging to senior- and executive-level audiences.
