Position Summary:

The Product Manager for TCL Canada will play a crucial role in driving the company’s vision and results-oriented approach, particularly in the management of TCL's Home Theater products. This individual will collaborate closely with the sales team to secure a top market position and foster financial growth. They will be responsible for defining long-term strategic goals that align with the broader company objectives, nurturing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

To excel in this role, the Product Manager must actively contribute to the overarching goals of the organization, ensuring that every decision and action is focused on achieving measurable results. They will integrate insights from the market, sales, development teams, and customer feedback to establish a clear vision and lead the execution of innovative features and products. As TCL expands its Home Theater business, building on the strong growth of our television brand in the US market, this position is vital in delivering exceptional value through world-class product innovations that resonate with consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Leadership:

- Lead product development teams for home theater (TV and Soundbar) products, advocating for consumer needs and ensuring alignment with key performance requirements in the North American market.
- Integrate emerging technologies into product offerings to enhance innovation and user experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams in China and external partners in North America to communicate program status and ensure timely project delivery within specifications.

  • Liaison and Communication:

- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external product development partners, tracking deliverables and ensuring fulfillment of service agreements.
- Test and document issues with both in-development and fielded home theater products.

  • Product Documentation and Support:

- Create comprehensive reviewer’s guides and demonstration scenarios to facilitate internal and external product reviews and demos.
- Manage, update, and distribute home theater hardware assets for internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Lifecycle Management:

- Act as the key product owner, overseeing the full lifecycle of home theater products from concept development to market launch and eventual phase-out.
- Market Expertise and Content Creation
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs through market data analysis and direct interactions, gaining expertise in home theater products and user cases.
- Produce customer-facing materials, including technical data sheets, brochures, sell sheets, and online content to support new product launches and market objectives.

  • Marketing Strategy and Campaign Support

- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for marketing campaigns, rich media projects, and promotional programs.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide monthly reports and strategic recommendations to align with the annual operating plan.

  • Customer Experience Enhancement

- Strategize and implement effective post-purchase customer experiences that foster long-term brand loyalty and enhance customer lifetime value.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in product development and management, specifically within the consumer electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of home theater products, including TVs and soundbars.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze market data and customer feedback to drive product strategy and improvements.
  • Experience in managing product lifecycles from concept to market launch and end-of-life.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in the consumer electronics space.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within specifications.
  • Ability to create compelling customer-facing content, including technical documentation and marketing materials.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance customer experience and brand loyalty.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
